There are some exciting opportunities planned for the months of February and March. I have listed below each opportunity with a blurb on what is involved along with a sign-up link if you are interested in participating.
February Events
Breakfast Run through the Midnight Run (We need Parent Volunteers to drive & assist)
Our first Breakfast Run will be Sunday, February 9, 2025. We will meet at St. Joseph School Cafeteria at 7am to prepare the food, load the cars and set off for the streets of Manhattan at approximately 8:30am to connect the “housed with the homeless.” The experience for adults and teens alike is life changing. They truly see the face of Jesus in the people who live on the streets of New York. We will return to the school to clean up and we should be done by noon at the latest.

Bible Study/Discussion Group
Come join us as we learn more about our faith as young adults in today’s world. We will meet monthly. Each month there will be a different topic, anything from dealing with stress, finding purpose, current events, do science and religion conflict. This will be a fun atmosphere, and a safe place to share your thoughts and ask any questions. It’s also a chance to connect with your peers who share your faith. Our first meeting will be on Monday February 10, from 7:30-8:30pm. Please sign up if interested.

A spiritual work of mercy - Letters to the Homebound
The Spiritual Works of Mercy are specific instructions from Catholic Christian tradition by which we help each other grow in the Spirit: counseling the doubtful, instructing the ignorant, admonishing the sinner, comforting the sorrowful, forgiving injuries, bearing wrongs patiently, and praying for the living and the dead. In our parish we have many who are homebound. They would love a note of kindness sent to them letting them know we as a parish think of them and are praying for them. During the month of February with Valentine’s Day approaching, it seems appropriate to send letters to our fellow parishioners. If interested, please sign up.

Childcare Services
Fr. Paul has started at Bible study program for the adults of our parish on the fourth Thursday of every month. There are parishioners who would love to attend but cannot secure childcare for the children. The Youth Ministry will offer childcare in the Scott Room during this event from 7:15-9pm. We will have games, toys and movies to keep the children entertained. If you are interested in assisting, please sign up. The first event is Thursday, February 27.
